The new Reichenberger Hütte lies at 2,586 meters in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, it serves as an ideal stopover for the Lasörling Höhenweg or as a base for further summit tours in the Virgental. Surrounded by impressive mountains and pure nature, it is a perfect destination for all who love hiking, seek tranquility, and appreciate the alpine world. From Virgental, specifically from Prägraten am Großvenediger, the hut is easily accessible in about 5 hours walking time. An ascent from St. Jakob i.D. through the Trojeralmtal is also popular. The walking time from the Trojeralm parking lot is about 4 hours.
