Tobogganing fun for all the family! It is with this maxim in mind that the Fallwindes toboggan run in Kals am Großglockner presents itself. Romantic ascent, traditional refreshment stop option in Rodelhütte Fallwindes and as the crowning finale "a morts Gaude" on the descent of the illuminated toboggan run – what more could you want!
On the way to the hut, you can visit the Knappenloch Fallwindes. This is a lit exhibition mine dating from the late Middle Ages. It offers a glimpse of how, with immense effort and primitive tools, a tunnel was driven into the rock high above a gorge. An information board and a display case provide further details. Halfway along the path to the Rodelhütte, at a left-hand bend where a fence is installed on the valley side, a well-secured trail leads downhill just below the path to a post-medieval mine, which can be reached via steps and a well-secured descent above a gorge.
