The new Reichenberger Hut lies at 2,586 meters in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, it serves as an ideal stopover for the Lasörling High Trail or acts as a base for further summit tours in the Virgental. Surrounded by impressive mountains and pure nature, it is a perfect destination for anyone who enjoys hiking, seeks tranquility, and loves the mountain world. From the Virgental, specifically from Prägraten am Großvenediger, the hut is reachable in about 5 hours of hiking. A popular ascent is also from St. Jakob i.D. through the Trojeralm Valley. The hiking time from the Trojeralm parking lot is approximately 4 hours.
