The hut built in 1931 is located on the turquoise-blue Großer Gradensee in the heart of the Schobergruppe in the Hohe Tauern National Park and belongs to the Alpenverein Edelweiss, branch of the Austrian Alpine Club.
The hut, idyllically situated by three mountain lakes, is managed from June to September and has 50 sleeping places.
