As an insider tip, somewhat concealed in the thick forest, the Venedigerwarte beckons you, a viewing tower with a grandiose view over Lienz and the surrounding mountain world.
Adventure playground, Alpine Coaster...
At Schlossberg you can find a wide range of offers for all age groups amidst nature.
The Lienz cable car takes you directly from the Hochstein valley station up to Moosalm. If you like, you can visit the Moosalm small animal zoo and the adventure playground in the forest here.
If you are seeking a bit more action, then the Alpine Coaster Osttirodler is just the right thing for you. The alpine coaster, which meanders from Hochstein down towards Lienz, is the longest all-year luge in the world and is very addictive! Alone or in twos, you can whizz the 2.7km into the valley, through green forests, with loops at a height of 8 metres, past fast-paced curves and over high waves. Fun is guaranteed on the 5 to 10-minute ride into the sunny town of Lienz.
Apart from the Alpine Coaster Osttirodler, Tyrol’s largest climbing park Schlossberg-Lienz is among the special recreational facilities at Schlossberg. There are routes for two-year-olds as well as really challenging routes 20 metres high. In total, 18 circuits are available with more than 160 different climbing stations in different difficulty levels. The climbing park is situated in a forest and offers good shelter both in strong sunshine and in light rain. The park is closed in case of heavy rain or storms.
