Apart from countless beautiful forests and meadows, the municipality of Iselsberg-Stronach is home of two special natural monuments. One of them is the Defregger larch, which commemorates the painter Franz von Deferegger. Another natural gem is the Zwischenberger Lacke on the saddle between the Ederplan and the Stronachkogel. The municipality in the national park relies on tradition, for example the Gumpitschhof in Iselsberg is the oldest documented ancestral estate of Tyrol, with the first change of possession crossing being documented in the year 1528.
Iselsberg-Stronach is a starting point for various mountain and hiking tours, as there are numerous worthwhile tour destinations surround this municipality. Even in winter, ski resorts, toboggan runs and cross-country skiing tracks are close. But no matter which destination you set out on, the fantastic mountain ranges around the village on the Iselsberg-Sattel can truly make you speechless, making every tour an unforgettable experience. If you spend your holidays here, you will understand what holidays in the mountains actually are about.
