36th Dolomitenradrundfahrt

That was the 36th Dolomitenradrundfahrt

Many thanks to all supporters and spectators! We are already looking forward to next year!

The Dolomitenradrundfahrt has existed for over 70 years, making it the oldest cycling marathon in Austria! The traditional pedal ride around the wild and romantic Lienz Dolomites is not only a sporting challenge for all participants, but also nourishment for body, mind and soul. The route leads through the most environmentally friendly region in Europe and its flair is hard to beat. Thousands of enthusiastic spectators once again lined the roadside and bands played in the villages to cheer up and motivate the cyclists! But the impressive natural scenery also once again invites you to relax and unwind. The big round of applause for every participant at the finish line in the historic centre of Lienz and an unforgettable cycling experience will once again leave a lasting impression this year!

Ultra Marathon SuperGiroDolomiti:

The Plöcken Pass was closed this year due to a rockfall on the Italian side! In consultation with the authorities and the executive, the organisation of the "SuperGiroDolomiti" was suspended in 2024 and rescheduled for 2025. People who had already registered could transfer their participation to the 2025 race or re-register for the 36th Dolomitenradrundfahrt.

As one of the most challenging cycling marathons in the Alps, the SuperGiroDolomiti attracts many extreme athletes. The route also leads through Italy and culminates at Monte Zoncolan, which has often been chosen as a stage finish for the "Giro d`Italia". A total of 5450 metres in altitude and 228 kilometres have to be mastered on the extreme variant. You can get a real flavour of the great Giro when countless flags adorn the houses, the villagers stand in the streets and the Polizia Stradale appears with a similar strength to that of a stage of the "Giro d`Italia". But even on Austrian soil, the surveillance work of the police is at the highest level! With over 400 helpers and friends, the organisation team is once again trying to ensure a perfect organisation and is looking forward to a large number of participants from near and far!

All participants will receive an attractive starting gift and a great souvenir medal and certificate for each race.
