A true winter paradise awaits cross-country skiing enthusiasts at the Winterpark Matreier Tauernhaus. The Matreier Tauernhaus is located right at the entrance to the romantic Gschlößtal valley.
The snow-covered landscape and perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails invite you to ski in a relaxed and peaceful environment. You can choose between the Tauernhaus circuit, the Wohlgemuth trail or the somewhat more challenging Moos circuit. A small practice area right at the start of the trails also offers ideal conditions for children or beginners to take their first steps.
The other national park valleys of Virgen, Prägraten am Großvenediger and Kals am Großglockner also have a great network of cross-country ski trails. These places can be easily and conveniently reached with the bus (free use with the guest card).
