In the stable next door, about 40 cows are milked every day. If you feel like it, you can milk your own milk and help with milking and making hay.
Feel the feeling of tiredness after a hard day's work and enjoy a well-deserved rest with a rich snack!

In summer, many regional products such as bread, butter, jam, cheese, bacon and much more are produced at the alpine hut.

From the Tauernhaus you can take a slow train to the Innergschlöss, the most beautiful valley floor in the Alps.

The ideal location, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, allows for many short and long hikes from the doorstep!

Our Matrei region in East Tyrol offers beautiful high-altitude trails, well-maintained hiking paths and numerous cosy mountain huts.
