Welcome to Haus Oschtna – your cozy vacation home in the midst of the Eastern Tyrolean mountain world!
Directly at the entrance of St. Veit in Defereggen, at 1,500 m above sea level, a special place to breathe, relax, and feel good awaits you. Here you can enjoy fresh mountain air, wonderful views, and soothing tranquility.
Our two holiday apartments Melspitze and Beilspitze combine cozy rural charm with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. From our house, numerous walking and hiking trails lead directly into nature. A bus stop is also located in the immediate vicinity.
Whether active vacation days in the mountains, shared family adventures, or simply relaxing hours with a view of our beautiful mountain world – everyone will find their favorite spot with us.
A special highlight is the little creek behind the house, which provides a refreshing coolness on warm summer days.

Hello, may I introduce myself briefly!
My name is Marai Berger; I was born in St. Veit and am happily married to my husband Michael.
Our family also includes Roman, Theresia, Matthias and Emanuel.
Our family of six loves to explore the mountains in summer, and in winter we have lots of fun on the ski slopes and tobogganing.
We don’t actually live in Haus Oschtna ourselves, but right opposite in Haus Guglprasta.
I put a great deal of love into my garden so that, during the summer months, I can turn the produce into jam, jelly, syrup, liqueur and so on. You’re also very welcome to help yourselves to herbs from the herb bed.
Of course, looking after our guests is our top priority, and we’ll be sure to share a schnapps or two with you.
