The Wurzerhof is unique in Tyrol. The farmstead was first mentioned in a document as early as 1433; since 2001, the “Wurzer” farm complex—consisting of a single-courtyard farm, a blacksmith’s shop, a farm chapel, a washhouse, a sawmill, and a grain mill with a barley crusher—has been designated a historic landmark. After being destroyed by the floods of 1882, the farm complex was rebuilt and has remained virtually unchanged in this form to the present day. Over 500 old craft tools are on display at the farm today.
At the Wurzerhof, guests experience Alpine history and culture. The Wurzerhof complex is a living organism comprising individual elements, points of light, beacons, a cultural oasis, and diversity.
