The renovated inn is situated directly at the beautiful Obersee at an elevation of 2,000 m – surrounded by numerous mountain peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the South Tyrolean Rieserferner Group – inviting guests to enjoy, relax, hike, and observe the unique natural landscape.

Not only the cozy sun terrace, but also the winter garden and the rustic guest room invite you to linger and enjoy. The Alpengasthaus Obersee is the ideal starting point for numerous mountain peaks and pleasant summer hikes amidst the paradisiacal nature around the Obersee and Staller Sattel.

In winter, the Alpengasthaus Obersee is also open: from approximately mid-December to mid-April, visitors can enjoy a magical winter landscape – whether as a starting point for countless ski tours, snowshoe hikes, or as a place to stop after cross-country skiing on the Oberseeloipe. The winter hiking trail, which leads directly in front of the inn, is also popular.
