• Reserve sleeping space in advance – without a reservation, no overnight stay!
• Overnight stay only with your own sleeping bag, pillowcase, and bed sheet (no hut sleeping bag); no blankets will be provided!

Situated at 2,796 m, the rustic refuge offers the most beautiful ascent to the Venediger.

The venerable hut is located in Innergschlöss, one of the most beautiful valley closures of the Eastern Alps. Even though one must earn the ascent without any lift assistance, the incomparable view from the hut's terrace of the ice giants of the Venediger makes every effort worthwhile. The Neue Prager Hütte is an ideal starting point for climbing the Großvenediger and also serves as a stage goal on the Venediger Round. Furthermore, the original surroundings are perfect as a training base for rock and ice. The hosts pamper their guests in a cozy atmosphere with traditional dishes. The hut can accommodate around 100 guests overnight.

Ascent:
from Matreier Tauernhaus in 4.5 hours; via the Venedigerhaus in about 3.5 hours, easily accessible for children and seniors.

Transitions to the next huts:
Löbbentörl to Badener Hütte, 4.5 hours;
Venediger Höhenweg to St. Pöltner Hütte, 6.5 hours;
Sandebentörl to Neue Fürther Hütte, 5.5 hours.
