Almsennerei Tauer – Gschlößtal, Matrei in East Tyrol

(c) Almsennerei Tauer

The Almsennerei Tauer (Tauer alpine dairy) is located at the entrance of the Gschlösstal valley.  In the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in a fairy-tale scenery, the cows spend their summers feeding on lush Alpine herbs. The lovely fresh cow's milk forms the best basis for excellent products from the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Certified Products from the Hohe Tauern National Park:
Bergkäse Rainerhorn, Tauernkogel (alpine cheese), Graukäse Wildenkogel (Tyrolean grey cheese), Gschlößtaler Almbutter (alpine butter)

Bödenlerhof – Nußdorf

(c) Osttiroler Hochbergei

The Bödenlerhof is situated at 1,220 metres above sea level at Hochberg in Nussdorf. Here is the home of the Lugger family with their laying hens that can enjoy the outdoor nature whenever weather permits and have plenty of room to pick and scratch. Their diet is carefully monitored to ensure that the hens have different types of grain, mountain hay, fresh grass and water. No wonder that the “Osttiroler HochBerg-Ei” (East Tyrol mountaintop eggs) from the Nussdorf National Park community taste so delicious!

With its finely balanced flavour, it convinces right from the very first sip! Elisabeth, the National Park partner-host, offers regional cuisine and cooks with great passion using local agricultural resources.
