The taste of organic meadow milk on the slopes of the Lesachtal mountains and natural meadows

Animal welfare and plenty of fresh air for the best milk. Ten dairy cows share about 10 ha of natural, lush, and diverse mountain meadows. With the varied grasses, mountain herbs, and meadow flowers, they form the most important source of feed for the cows, where the animals can optimally live out their species-specific behavior. Sufficient movement, fragrant mountain air, light, sunshine, and fresh grass at an altitude of 1100 m guarantee the highest milk quality in this organic farming. During the different vegetation periods in summer, from the first hay harvest in June to the grazing in autumn, the production of organic meadow milk is made visible. Visitors experience the taste of the high-quality, nutrient-rich, and full-bodied milk during a barefoot walk over the mountain meadows followed by a tasting of homemade organic meadow milk specialties.
