(R)-Evolution - classic concert

Julian Walder, an emerging Viennese violinist with Tyrolean roots and international radiance, presents the album (R)‑Evolution in collaboration with the renowned Tyrolean organist Elias Praxmarer, released by the classical label Capriccio.

Absolute highlights of the solo violin literature by Johann Sebastian Bach and Eugène Ysaÿe showcase the groundbreaking development of violin playing. Conceptually selected works by Tomaso Antonio Vitali and Josef Gabriel Rheinberger explore the dialogic possibilities between violin and organ over the centuries, culminating in the meditative sound world of Arvo Pärt and Astor Piazzolla, the founder of 'Tango Nuevo'.

The evening is complemented by organ music from Louis Vierne and Anton Bruckner, which impressively demonstrates the potential of the new organ in the Spitalskirche.

An evening full of youthful exuberant virtuosity and richness of sound colors.
