exhibition "Furnierintarsien" by Gerhard Kastner

Gerhard Kastner, born in 1942 in the valley Gailtal/Carinthia and active in North Tyrol since 1962, has been dedicated to the traditional art of marquetry for decades. Using various wood veneers, he creates detailed images that depict landscapes, mountains, architecture, and everyday scenes as well as portraits and people. Each work is produced from a careful drawing and the precise selection, processing, and assembly of up to 400 individual wooden pieces. Inspired by nature and the Tyrolean art tradition, Kastner combines inherited craftsmanship with a unique artistic expression. His works have already been presented at over 100 exhibitions in Tyrol and beyond.

More information about the artist can be found in the attached invitation.

On Thursday, 12th November 2026, 7.00 p.m., the artist's vernissage will take place in the premises of the DolomitenBank Gallery.

The exhibition can be seen until 15th January 2027 during the counter opening hours.

Free admission.
