Golzentipp 2.317 m

From the mountain station the route initially proceeds left, up to the mountain ridge and along the ski run, which becomes somewhat steeper in the second section, proceeding almost up to the mountain station for the Glamplift. An almost flat section now begins and you reach the idyllically located Jochsee, hidden in a hollow, which tempts you to have a rest. When visibility is good here the Großglockner, Austria´s highest mountain, seems to be close enough to touch. Connected to this, the route just above the "Kutteschupfen", a collection of hay barns, proceeds up to Tilliach’s, which provide plenty of opportunities for views – the Golzentipp.

A really special panoramic view awaits summiteers here. The view extends in the north to the Hohe Tauern and the Schober group; to the Lienz Dolomites in the east and to Lesachtal; to the Carnic Alps in the south and in the west to the Sextener Dolomites and right into South Tyrol’s Pustertal. Early summer in particular is of particular interest for flower-lovers, when the blue gentian transforms the mountain pastures around the Kutteschupfen to a sea of flowers.
