Either on foot or, very idyllically and authentically, in a horse-drawn carriage. Once there you will meet quite a number of nature-lovers, since the Umbal Falls are much more than just a popular excursion destination. The Umbal Falls also have symbolic value. They are representative of the entire beauty of the Hohe Tauern National Park. In the Umbal Falls you get to encounter the full beauty of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the extreme. There is probably no other place where you can get so close to the entity of a glacier river.
