During a walk through the town of St. Jakob i. Def. a trip to the Talschaftsmuseum ‘Zeitreise Defereggen’ ought to feature too. The contemporary exhibition presents historic documents and finds from Defereggental, from the mid-Mesolithic era to the Middle Ages and the time of the Napoleonic wars, right through to the present day. Particular highlights include the dugout boat from Obersee and finds from the mining era.
