Kammerlanderhof

museum/gallery

The association "s' Kammerland - Cultural Initiative Thurn" was founded in 2001 and has since then been striving to reorganize and maintain the 500-year-old listed building, which in its authenticity is a unique rural treasure. Thanks to the restoration, the Kammerlanderhof has regained its genuine appearance. Particularly worth seeing are the original smoke room, the granary with old equipment and the small bedroom with its fin-de-siècle-furniture. In the sub-roof, the theme show (shoemaker workshop, Machlkammer, linen production and processing) provides insights into historical farming craft. The room is also used as a cosy place for social gatherings and small-scale events such as poetry readings. Special tours can be booked in advance!
