The Kalser Wanderopening for the Sacred Heart Festival is the start of the hiking season in Kals am Großglockner. You hike through lush flowering meadows, experience the small, trusting marmots, the young, high-spirited chamois and ibex and experience the special magic of the mountain fires that festively light up the mountain contours around Kals am Großglockner on the occasion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The highlight of the programme is a multivision presentation by and with Thomas Huber from the "Huaba Buam". The motto is "In the mountains is freedom" - the biography of a wild life!
