Beschreibung Bike

The Porzehütte is easily accessible by e-bike. From the car park at the cable car, first go to the B111, turn right here and at the bus stop at the "Zollstöckl" turn left along the asphalted field path for approx. 120 metres to a prominent fork in the road. Continue to the right here and after a straight 500 metres turn left in the direction of Mühlboden or Dorfertal. From the crossroads at the end of the field, it is only a gravel road to the Porzehütte. Car traffic is to be expected up to the picturesque Klapfsee - so be careful! From there, take a few hairpin bends up to the Porzehütte, a popular destination for bikers and (long-distance) hikers.

Beschreibung Wanderung

From the Porzehütte to the start of the via ferrata "Camoscio", not difficult. For this easy via ferrata (A/B), a head for heights and surefootedness are absolutely necessary. Soon after reaching the eastern ridge, the path continues in serpentine fashion over grassy terrain, which is rich in flowers depending on the season, towards the summit.

The path now becomes narrower and rockier again, but not dizzying. At the summit, there is a fantastic panorama in all directions. A narrow, partly gravelly path leads you from the summit slightly downhill in a westerly direction to the Austria path. This shortcut to the Porzescharte leads at the beginning over a grassy area in hairpin bends to the secured path.

Here again, increased caution is advised, as stumbling could have nasty consequences. In a few minutes you will reach the Porzescharte, which again represents the border between Italy and Austria. From here you hike for about 1 1/4 hours back to the Porzehütte.
