Sillianer Hütte

As the westernmost shelter of the Carnic Main Ridge, the Sillianer Hütte is the starting and ending point of the Carnic High Trail 403 (Friedensweg - Via della Pace).
In addition to serving as a base hut of the Austrian Southern Alps long-distance hiking trail No. 03 (Sillian - Karawankenweg - Radkersburg), the European long-distance hiking trail 10, and the European long-distance hiking path Via Alpina, the Sillianer Hütte is also a popular destination for guests and locals from the entire Hochpustertal valley.
Well-marked trails in the vicinity of the shelter lead to the Heimkehrerkreuz at 2273m, Helmgipfel at 2433m, Hornischeck at 2551m, Hollbrucker Eck at 2573m, the war cemetery Hochgränten, and many other rewarding destinations.
