The Hochweißstein House is an ÖAV Alpine Club hut of the Austria section. We offer hearty, home-style food for your hunger, wholesome meals, homemade juices, herbal teas, and draft wheat beer for your thirst, along with a dreamy apple strudel, a special schnapps, and an impressive selection of wines for your pleasure. For your tour planning, we are happy to share our experience as long-time hut managers and knowledgeable about peaks and tours. You can stay overnight in 40 dormitory beds and 12 rooms at the hut. From the valley, you can reach the hut in about 1.5 hours from the parking lot in Frohntal.

Beautiful tour destinations:
Mt. Peralba, Mt. Avanza, Raudenspitze, Torkaspitze - all reachable in 2-3 hours from the hut. Take a walk along the slope path to Luggauer Thörl - you will be amazed by the abundance of flowers! Perhaps your children would like to play by the completely harmless creek during this time.

Via ferratas: Mt. Peralba, Mt. Chiadenis, crossing Raudenspitze - Edigon - Steinwand - Obergailer Valley; various established climbing routes in levels 3 to 6 of difficulty.
