Epiphany market

The Dreikönigsmarkt invites you to Johannesplatz in Lienz from December 27, 2025, to January 5, 2026. Extended opening hours at the end of the year, a local band daily, and a lovingly curated culinary offering from regional clubs characterize the atmospheric market event. The special atmosphere of Lienz's old town makes the Dreikönigsmarkt a popular meeting point between the holidays again this year.

A special highlight this year as well is the Epiphany Market Train, which runs through the illuminated old town from 27th to 31st December, starting at 4.00 PM each day. The popular route goes from Johannesplatz to the Old Forge by Rudl Duregger at the corner of Messinggasse/Alleestraße, where passengers can forge New Year talismans. Silvano Soravia from the Deliziosa ice cream shop takes care of the warm drinks typical of this season. The route continues along Messinggasse, Franz-Von-Defregger-Straße to Schweizergasse, and then returns along Messinggasse to Johannesplatz.
