Our cosy berghaus. is located at around 1,420 metres above sea level in Mellitz, part of St. Veit in Defereggen, on the sunny side of the Defereggen Valley and surrounded by the mountain scenery of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet, unspoilt nature and beautiful views across the valley.

In summer, hiking trails and excursions into the mountains start right on the doorstep. In winter, the St. Jakob ski area is within easy reach, while cross-country skiing, winter hiking and snowshoeing offer plenty of other ways to enjoy the Defereggen Valley.

Authentic mountain-house character meets modern comfort. Fresh mountain spring water from our own spring and the peaceful location make a stay at berghaus. a truly special experience.
