Ski tours in the Villgratental

Where ski mountaineering is at home

If you're looking for the unspoilt, you'll find more than just mountains here: tranquillity, seclusion and a picture-book landscape. Away from the ski circus, genuine tranquillity, untouched nature and snow until spring await in Osttirol's Villgratental. Where others built lifts, the locals opted for unspoiled nature - today the valley is an insider tip for ski mountaineers.

In his "House Touren Booklet", American alpinist Steve House presents inspiring routes for all levels - and shows what makes a safe ski tour: careful planning, a weather check and an avalanche report. The current situation is always available at avalanche.report - a must before every start.

All ski routes

Around 80% of guests come here for touring - and find perfect conditions: varied routes between 800 and 1500 meters in altitude, wonderful deep snow descents and panoramic views from the Dolomites to the Großglockner. Whether beginners on the Gaishörndl, connoisseurs on the Rote Kinkele or experts on the Gölbner - every tour is rewarded with an experience of nature and far-reaching views.
