The Hoch-Tirol-Trail

Cross-border long-distance hiking trail from Südtirol to Osttirol

The long-distance hiking trail Hoch-Tirol-Trail connects the village of Prettau in the Ahrntal valley with the village of Prägraten am Großvendiger in Osttirol in three stages. The trail crosses the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park in Südtirol and the National Park Hohe Tauern in Osttirol. On 25 kilometres of trail, 1490 metres of ascent and 1000 metres of descent are covered from Südtirol.

On the Italian side, the Lenkjöchlhütte at an altitude of 2,603 metres serves as a base, while on the Austrian side, the Clara Hut - located at an altitude of 2038 metres - offers overnight accommodation. The hut approaches on both sides are much frequented hiking destinations. Between the two huts, the Hoch-Tirol-Trail leads through a quiet and wild area where you will hardly encounter any mountaineers. The journey to and from the starting and end points of the trail is by public transport.

Mobility

Our greatest treasure in Tyrol is our unconsumed nature: the mountains, the fresh air, the silence, the quality of the water and, of course, the people who visit us and live here. Since it is an important concern for us to protect this precious treasure as much as possible, sustainability is a central element of our developments.

An essential part of this sustainability is mobility. With our numerous offers, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to contribute to sustainability. It's good for nature, good for your wallet and good for your nerves.
