Description

Experience the untamed freedom of the Hohe Tauern! This route is not for the faint-hearted, but it’s perfect for true mountain pioneers. Far off the beaten track, the tour takes you through pathless, unmarked terrain straight into the heart of the East Tyrolean Alps.

The Eisseehütte, idyllically situated on the deep-blue Eissee at around 2,500 m, is your perfect springboard into the vertical world. As the centrepiece of the Venediger Höhenweg, it offers not only cosy accommodation but also what is arguably the most spectacular vantage point in the upper Timmeltal.

The challenging “3000Hoch5” tour is a tribute to the giants of the Venediger Group. On an impressive circular route, you’ll conquer no fewer than five striking three-thousand-metre peaks:

  • Kleiner Hexenkopf 3.194 m
  • Hinterer Seekopf 3.234 m
  • Vorderer Seekopf 3.280 m
  • Weißspitze 3.300 m
  • Seewandspitze / Graneberkopf 3.024 m

You’ll be rewarded with panoramas that will take your breath away. To ensure you can fully immerse yourself in the magic of the high-alpine world, we recommend undertaking the ascent with our local mountain guides. They know every ledge, guarantee maximum safety and share secrets of the region that won’t be found in any guidebook.
