The starting signal is given in the historic Lienz main square. After two fast warm-up laps through the Lienz valley floor – including an exciting intermediate sprint at the modern train station – the peloton makes its way to the Isel Valley. The route ascends to the Felbertauern Tunnel and continues to Mittersill, before heading towards the grand finale in St. Johann and the Alpendorf via Wagrain and Bischofshofen.
