The starting signal is given in the historic Lienz main square. After two fast warm-up laps through the Lienz valley floor – including an exciting intermediate sprint at the modern train station – the peloton makes its way to the Isel Valley. The route ascends to the Felbertauern Tunnel and continues to Mittersill, before heading towards the grand finale in St. Johann/Alpendorf via Wagrain and Bischofshofen.
