Obergail – in the language of the young, this would describe extraordinary moments and things. And this applies in the truest sense of the word to the hepi Lodge in the Obergail district of the Lesachtal municipality. As a place for encounters, exchange, peace, freedom, closeness to nature, tolerance, and mindfulness, the wonderfully restored old mountain farmhouse high above the Lesachtal Valley is very special indeed. Helene and Pepi, two young outdoor enthusiasts that are very much in close touch with nature and the namesakes of the hepi Lodge, cultivate hemp and vegetables on the steep mountain slopes at over 1000 metres above sea level, and experiment with other of life’s enjoyable things. Slow Food is their lifestyle and can be experienced and lived during a stay high above the Lesachtal Valley. Hemp and expert knowledge at hepi Lodge turn into an extraordinary moment and demonstrate how life can succeed on a steep slope at the foot of the Carnic Alps.
