Giro del Gall 2026

The East Tyrol Tourism Association, chaired by Franz Theurl, and the municipal community of Nußdorf-Debant, with Mayor Ing. Andreas Pfurner, warmly invite you to the "Giro del Gall".

With this special event, the East Tyrolean cycling professional Felix Gall, who achieved an excellent second place overall in the Giro d'Italia 2026, will be duly honored and celebrated.

Together with Felix Gall, up to 600 enthusiastic fans will cycle from the main square in Lienz to the sports stadium in Nußdorf-Debant, wearing their specially provided "Gall-Shirts". There, participants will be greeted with a festive reception featuring the Nußdorf-Debant town band, the Nußdorf-Debant rifle company, and numerous distinguished guests from sports, business, and politics.

Program "Giro del Gall":
From 4.00 p.m.: Distribution of Gall-Shirts at the main square Lienz, late registration is possible on site
6.00 p.m.: Starting lineup for all participants at the main square Lienz
6.30 p.m.: Joint start of the "Giro del Gall", bike ride with Felix Gall to Nußdorf-Debant
Approx. 6.45 p.m.: Arrival at the sports stadium in Nußdorf-Debant, formation of a bike corridor for the entry of Felix Gall and the honored guests, musical reception by the Nußdorf-Debant town band
7.00 p.m.: Start of the official ceremony, welcome and honoring of Felix Gall, festive reception with the honored guests

The event will be covered by ORF and Eurosport and offers a unique opportunity to collectively acknowledge the outstanding achievement of Felix Gall and present East Tyrol as an enthusiastic cycling region far beyond regional borders.

All participants who register in time will receive an official "Gall-Shirt" for free before the start, which will be worn during the joint bike ride.

Late registration is possible on the event day on site, as long as the supply of a total of 600 Gall-Shirts lasts.
