9900 Lienz
9900 Lienz
concert by the chorus 'Kammerchor Vocalissimo'
Under the motto "Film Music," the vocal ensemble vokalissimo Lienz presents a diverse program with well-known melodies from cinema and television on June 13 at 7.00 p.m. in the hospital church – from touching ballads to impressive soundscapes of great film productions. Among the works featured are pieces like "The Book of Love," known from the film Shall We Dance, and "Vide cor meum" by Patrick Cassidy, which gained international fame through the film Hannibal. Similarly, "Eatnemen Vuelie," the title song from the Disney hit Frozen, will be performed, highlighting its Nordic tones.
The choir also picks up timeless melodies with "Blackbird" by The Beatles and "Moon River" from Breakfast at Tiffany's – composed by Henry Mancini – that have long secured their place in film history. These works represent many other pieces that will be heard that evening, vividly reflecting the diversity of film music.
With this versatile program, the Lienz Chamber Choir showcases its musical range and invites the audience to experience familiar and lesser-known film melodies in a new, choral sound attire.
