National Park Culinary

Preserve nature. Experience nature. Taste nature.

With regional products you will experience the pleasure of the National Park at our National Park innkeepers and in our National Park restaurants.

Fresh and homemade cuisine is one of our core values. We cook with food from the region such as potato & polenta, spelt, mountain lamb, game, cheese, eggs, vegetables and much more from Osttirol, taking into account the annual cycle.

Take a break during a hike or relax after an eventful day in the National Park Hohe Tauern with a good meal made of regional products.

Experience the pleasure of the National Park with regional products

Fresh and homemade cuisine, economical use of resources and avoidance of waste are among the basic values of the "National Park Culinary Partners. In the food compositions we use mainly seasonal food.

Spring: The scent of blooming meadows and forests wafts through the air. Mountain streams from the National Park Hohe Tauern provide spring water of drinking quality. Osttirol is genuine, rooted in farming, original. Local, regional products from the National Park Hohe Tauern are waiting to be consumed with pleasure.

Summer: The pleasant smell of mountain meadow herbs on the alpine pasture, of freshly mown hay, of wood and earth in the sun, picking and preparing mushrooms in the forest, picking and preserving fruit. Mountain herbs from the National Park Hohe Tauern refine the dishes - from breakfast tea to haute cuisine. The guest looks over the shoulder at the production of regional products, at butter churning or cheese making on the farm and on the alpine pasture.

Autumn: The vibrant colors of nature in the National Park Hohe Tauern, our version of the Indian summer. The fruit harvest - "Schnaps" is distilled, also from stone pines - smells during schnaps distilling and "Einmaischen". The "Osttiroler Pregler". The cattle comes home - production of bacon, Henkele, Pökeln, Selchen, mountain lamb from Osttirol. The berries from the National Park Hohe Tauern for jam to "Kiachln" and for juices. Oskar - the special potatoes from Osttirol.

Winter: The National Park Partners fulfill the longing for the homey, the warm room and the security. The stove is heated up. Sitting by the crackling fire, under warm blankets after a day in the snow - a walk, a snowshoe hike, a ski tour, a day of skiing. Traditions like "smoking" and "blasting". There are typical sweet specialties in Osttirol - Nigelen, Blattlstock, Zelten, cookies,...
