Please note: You can find all bus and train connections within Osttirol on the route network map. With your guest card you can use the buses free of charge. To travel by train, please buy a regular ticket!
Which Osttirol bus lines can be used free of charge?
With the guest card you can use almost all public bus lines in Osttirol free of charge, including
- Line 940/941: Lienz - Dölsach - Lavant - Nikolsdorf
- Line 942: Lienz - Dölsach - Winklern
- Line 951: Lienz - Matrei - Prägraten - Hinterbichl (to Ströden only in summer)
- Line 952: Lienz - Huben - Kals am Großglockner - Lucknerhaus
- Line 953: Lienz - Huben - St. Jakob im Defereggental
- Line 954: Lienz - Oberlienz - Schlaiten
- Line 955: Lienz - Matrei - Matreier Tauernhaus (only in summer)
- Line 961: Lienz - Sillian - Arnbach
- Line 962: Lienz - Leisach - Assling - Anras
- Line 965: Sillian - Kartitsch - Obertilliach - St. Lorenzen
- Line 966: Sillian - Innervillgraten
- Line 998: St. Veit im Defereggental - Innerstandsbrücke
- Collective cabs in the Defereggental and on the panoramic road "Pustertaler Höhenstraße
You can also use all regional buses and night lines in Lienz without an extra ticket thanks to the guest card:
- Lienz 1 line: Gaimberg - Lienz railroad station - Tristach
- Line Lienz 2: Amlach - Lienz Bahnhof -Gymnasium
(01.09. - 21.09.25) - Lienz 2 line: Amlach - Lienz railroad station - grammar school
(from 22.09.25) - Line Lienz 3: Lienz Falkensteinerweg - Lienz railroad station - Thurn

- Line 901N: Nightliner: Sillian - Lienz - Nikolsdorf
- Regional bus line S (school transport)
Important note
The free ride does not apply to:
- Express bus lines 950X (Lienz-Kitzbühel) and 960X (Lienz-Innsbruck)
- Hiking buses in Lienz and Herz-Ass hiking taxi
- Train connections
If you would like to use one of these connections, please buy a regular ticket.
The Osttirol Guest Card at a glance
- If you spend at least one night in an accommodation in Osttirol, you will receive the guest card - automatically and free of charge.
- It will be given to you immediately after you fill out the registration form at your accommodation.
- The guest card is valid until your departure.
