There are many ways to reach your mountain paradise in East Tyrol. Fortunately, this means you can enjoy your holiday in the impressive, wild nature entirely your way – starting with your journey!

 

Many people travel by car and explore the Alpine passes, but a holiday without a car is no problem at all in Osttirol. Thanks to good transport connections, you can also reach us easily by train or, if you are coming from further afield, by plane. Once here, you can use our well-developed network of public transport free of charge – all you need is a valid guest card.

 

By train and bus to Osttirol

Arriving by public transport is convenient and environmentally friendly. Various train connections run to the nearest stations, such as Lienz, Sillian or even Spittal-Millstättersee. From there, there are good bus connections to the surrounding towns in Osttirol.

By plane to Osttirol

There is no international airport in Osttirol, but you can reach us via several nearby airports in Austria, Germany and Italy. From there, you can take a train, bus or hire a car to get to Lienz within 2-4 hours.

Travelling publicly in Osttirol

Once you arrive in Osttirol, you can take advantage of an excellently connected system of public transport, including regional buses and shuttles. From the station to your accommodation

A cab will pick you up directly from the train station and take you to your accommodation. You can find a list of cab companies under local mobility. Some hosts also offer a pick-up service. Just ask for one.
