Glockner Crown Stage 6

The Glödis Refugium is not expected to be open in summer 2026. Here are the alternatives to stages 5 and 6:<br><br><ol><li>Complete the entire stage 5 to the Glödis Refugium in Lesachal <br>then descend for another 2 hours to Kals/Lesach, where overnight stay is possible: Collis Hill or Gasthof Lesacherhof, wherethere is also a restaurant. <br>The descent is not very difficult and you follow the course of the Lesachbach stream via hiking trail AV 912 or via a comfortable forest path no. 60 to Unterlesach. <br>The next day, you can complete the second half of the 6th stage via the Kalser Valley Circular Trail from Unterlesach via Oberlesach, suspension bridge in Glor <br>to the center of Kals/Ködnitz with a further 2 hours of walking.<br><br></li><li> Shortening stages 5 and 6: from Lesach-Riegel and descent of approx.2,5 hours in total, via hiking trail no. 61 and 61a to Oberlesach. From there via the valley circular trail, no.&nbsp;60b to the&nbsp; bridge “Sagbrücke” and descent via AV 912 to Unterlesach to the<br>Lesacherhof. From there, you can also take the public bus (busstop Lesach) to Kals/Gemeindeamt (center) or Kals/Großdorf, if your car is parked there.<br><br></li><li> You order a taxi transfer from Lesachalm (Glödis Refugium) to the valley.
