The Drau cycle path

Cosy biketours for everyone

Osttirol invites you to enjoy leisurely exploratory tours along the Drau. Especially if you take the train up the valley and then cycle back to the starting point along the river.

The Drau cycle path, with a total length of 510 km, starts around 50 km from Lienz in Toblach. The Italian village where the Drau has its source is conveniently accessed by train. The well-signposted cycle path leads through picture postcard villages always down the valley along the river. Ideal for family and group trips.

Many trip destinations, such as the Aigner Badl, Vitalpinum, Galitzenklamm or the Roman town Aguntum lie directly along the Drau cycle path and invite you to take little breaks along the way.

You can also stop at one of the many outdoor pools or idyllic swimming bays for which the Drau cycle path is known. Strengthening of the body, mind and spirit is promised by the “cycle dishes” offered by the Drau cycle path hosts along the way.
