The Drau cycle trail, which enjoys world-renown, accompanies you through Hochpustertal from the border area to South Tyrol. Cycling in Hochpustertal can justifiably defined as cycling culture, since there are lots of interesting places, some of which have an ancient history, which line the route. Not forgetting the little village guesthouses which await, providing regional specialities.
Mountain-bikers love the side roads in Hochpustertal in particular. Sweat-inducing, but beautiful. The tours through the Carnic Alps in particular but also in Villgratental are also very popular among hard-core mountain-bikers. For instance, the “Berg-Radel-Weg Villgraten” is a charming way of finding out more about life in this unique valley. This thoroughly demanding circuit course starts and ends in the mountain village of Innervillgraten which lies at 1402 metres; it is around 25 kilometres in length and takes riders up to the Oberstaller Alm at 1883 metres sea level.
