Staller Sattel and Obersee

Staller Sattel is a year-round and a popular excursion destination. The impressive landscape, its blossoming alpine roses and superb panoramic views make this hike an unforgettable experience. The Staller Sattel is a mountain pass in the East Alps, connecting Defereggen valley (East Tyrol), and Antholzertal (South Tyrol). Motorcyclists and car drivers who drive to the Staller Sattel have to wait there due to the traffic-light regulated usage times. This time is now more entertaining – the information point at the Staller Sattel is used for tourism advertising with large, lovely pictures and information terminals. The road to Antholz is open between May and the end of November (only to cars and mini-buses), whereas during the winter months no crossing is available.
