Knappenlöcher in Blindis

The "Knappenlöcher" in Blindis are situated at around 2300 metres altitude. Copper, lead, gold and silver were mined there in the 15th and 16th centuries. Old mine workers’ accommodation and caves, which go deep into the mountain tell about these past times. The Knappenlöcher are accessible from St. Jakob im Defereggen. The caves themselves cannot be visited.
