We have something extra special for our Osttirol friends, fans, and guests: the memory-function on our website.
The rangers in Hohe Tauern National Park have specialist nature-based expertise, as well as experience of hiking and mountains. Their requirements and duties are many and varied but the most important mission of a National Park Ranger is the communication between people and nature. As perfect companions, rangers have been taking people safely and competently through the Hohe Tauern National Park now for more than 20 years. At the same time, you get to find out more about botanics, glaciers, wildlife, birds and butterflies as well as interesting information about features specific to the region.
On a Nature Watch exploratory tour you get to experience the natural surroundings at close quarters. Together with special equipment (binoculars, spotting scope) and accompanied by a National Park Ranger, the natural surroundings and habitats are presented in an impressive manner. Observe special geographic features in the Hohe Tauern National Park with a spotting scope, take in specific details about plants and herbs, and rare wild animals too of course. You get to enjoy gazing in amazement at ibex, chamois, and golden eagles and lammergeier up close. You can also head out on adventurous tours with National Park rangers in the winter.
