We have something extra special for our Osttirol friends, fans, and guests: the memory-function on our website.
Tristach had a whole 1399 inhabitants on 01.01.2013. The Große Sandspitze at 2770 metres is also a part of the town. The location and also the view to the Laserz Group make the village, which is located on the so-called shady side, a very impressive place. For several reasons Tristach is an interesting and great place for winter and summer tourism, as can be seen in the overnight stay figures. There is just one 4-star hotel in the town, another hotel, two guesthouses, a B&B and some private rooms available to let. So far so good, but what is actual unique about Tristach is the fact that East Tyrol’s only swimming lake is located in Tristach.
In summer and winter alike, it tempts you to enjoy an extended walk and enjoy the superb air. In summer it tempts all those who enjoy a few hours in the sun but who also want some refreshment, to swim a few lengths in it. A special tip for hikers - Tristach has three alpine inns in the Lienz Dolomites. In particular, you should make a beeline for and enjoy the popular Karlsbader Hütte during the hiking season, which is known about far and wide. Sights in the area include Kalerhof/Lanzenhof, which was even mentioned in documents dating from the late Baroque era, in 1575. The classical church which was built at the start of the 19th century, is also worth seeing.
