After the car park near Dolomitenhütte Rudl-Eller-Weg branches off to the left and proceeds steeply uphill via rocky terrain. Continue across the larch meadows to the Zellin. Crossing the cable-supported rock furrows and rock ledges requires surefootedness.
Via numerous hairpin bends we get to Hohe Törl (2098 m). Pass the access area to the ledge which has flatirons, continue via the grassy slopes and we get to the summer trail up to Karlsbaderhütte.
Alternative route to Karlsbader Hütte:
The route proceeds via the trail to Innstein chapel (~ 1/2 hour). The Laserzwand has become known far and wide as a photo motif. The wide trail meanders in long hairpin bends, covering the breadth of the valley up to the Marcherstein and its commemorative plaque, which is in memory of eminent mountain pioneer Mathias Macher. In the grey debris the trail proceeds through Laserz corrie up to the Hüttentür. We arrive at our destination after some 2 hours.

The Neualplseen lake area at 2436 m nestles wonderfully in the south-east of the almost 3000 m Schleinitz and to the south of the eastern Sattelkopf. Thanks to the ascent aids and the only slightly climbing and in part flat hiking trails, the Neualplseen provide an ideal excursion for families with children and older family members.
The starting point is the car park at Zettersfeld cable car valley station. From there travel on the gondola up to the Zettersfeld 1812 m, then take the 4-seater chair lift to the Steinermandl 2213 m. From there proceed on the well signposted hiking trail proceeding north, past Goisele. After a short descent of some 20m altitude the route proceeds on the flat, past the Alpine floor area at the ‘Stammtisch’ to Neualplseen. After a circuit of the lake and plenty of rest you can proceed on the return leg via Neualplschneid, which proceeds south past Goisele and back to the mountain station for the 4-seater cable car.
