We have something extra special for our Osttirol friends, fans, and guests: the memory-function on our website.
Schlossberg provides numerous attractions amidst natural surroundings for visitors of all age groups. The Lienzer mountain railway takes you right from Hochstein valley station to the Moosalm. If you want to, you can visit the Moosalm children’s zoo with adventure playground in the woods right here.
Those who look for some more action will find their desires met at the "Alpine Coaster" Osttirodler. The “Alpine Coaster”, which twist down from Hochstein to Lienz is one of Austria’s longest all-year-coasts and makes you want more. Alone or with a partner, you can rush the 2.7 kilometres down into the valley through green woods, with gyros at 8 metres height, sharp turns, waves... the nearly silent run takes all in all 5-6 minutes.
Next to the all-year coasts Osttirodler, Tyrol’s biggest climbing park is one of the special attractions at Schlossberg. It provides routes for 3-years-olds as well as really challenging routes at 20 metres height. All in all, 16 parcours with 160 different climbing stations of various difficulty levels are available. The climbing park is situated in the woods and thus well-sheltered from intense sun as well as light rain. Only in heavy rain or during thunderstorms the park is closed. Most routes can be climbed when it rains lightly and there is no thunderstorm.
An “insider tip" - hidden in the dense forest - is so-called “Venedigerwarte”, a lookout tower that provides a splendid view onto Lienz and the surrounding mountains. Apart from these attractions, young and old visitors can enjoy various good restaurants and inns.
