We have something extra special for our Osttirol friends, fans, and guests: the memory-function on our website.
Equipment: Full via ferrata route equipment and helmet. A complete via ferrata set can be hired for a small fee at the cash desk. The via ferrata route is reachable at the opening times from the water park Galitzenklamm.
Starting right at the entrance to the gorge – which means you can get to it in a very short space of time – you proceed up on a rock ledge, from which there is a superb view to Leisach, Amlach and Lienz.
The relatively short via ferrata route is also suitable for children aged 10 and up.
The path is secured throughout with steel cables and in the steepest area has 2 iron ladders. Exposed in sections, so sure-footedness and a head for heights required. At the upper area in particular watch out for falling rocks!
The family via ferrata is 200 meters long and not 200 km!
A wonderfully located via ferrata route proceeding along the waterfalls through Galitzen Gorge. The exposure and views down to the depths make this via ferrata route an impressive experience.
The via ferrata Galitzenklamm is 90 meters long and not 90 km!
A 700 metre steel cable, as well as 140 adhesive rock anchors have been installed for the Endorphin via ferrata route in Galitzen Gorge. The highlight is a six metre long ladder which is extremely exposed, but, with a little bit of courage, can be negotiated without much effort. At 400 metres altitude and with an ascent lasting around 1 ½ hours, this via ferrata route offers exciting sections across rock faces and smooth rock. Difficulty level for the ascent is C, while the descent is designated A/B.
The via ferrata Endorphin is 700 meters long and not 700 km!
A more difficult via ferrata route at the entrance to Galitzenklamm gorge which has an extreme variant -
'The masochist' – level E. The 250m climb is a steep cliff face and slab climbing area, with two rope bridges providing a bit of diversity. The highlight of this via ferrata route is the 'Götterquergang' which provides views to all three waterfalls in the Galitzenklamm gorge and views into the distance. The difficult variant 'The masochist' is a steep, partly overhanging cliff passage – difficult level E. The descent is classified as an A/B ferrata with a few C sections.
The via ferrata Dopamin is 410 meters long and not 410 km!
The route requires significant levels of endurance and arm strength and is hard right to the last metre and is therefore only suitable for experienced, strong via ferrata route walkers. Alternating between variety-packed face climbing and exposed summit climbing. Looking down into the depths presents a particular challenge, with the sound of the water a constant companion.
The route requires significant levels of endurance and arm strength and is hard right to the last metre and is therefore only suitable for experienced, strong via ferrata route walkers.
The via ferrata Adrenalin is 580 meters long and not 580 km!
