Lenkstein 3236 metres

Short descent from the new Barmer Hütte to the location of the old Barmer Hütte (2512 metres). Branch off to the north, running parallel to Patscher Schneid, via the signposted, completely flat path. Continue in steep switchbacks and through sections which are partly secured with steel cables, up to the Rosshornscharte. The signposted path now proceeds west via firn fields to the state border at the Lenksteinjoch (3082 metres). Via an easy to walk on path proceed via steep rocks to the Grataufschwung (3171 metres), which is in front of the summit of the Lenkstein. From this point proceed via an almost flat firn field and finally via a short ridge section up to the summit (3236 metres).

Starting point: Barmer Hütte 2610 metres
