Jägerscharte 2862 metres - Almerhorn 2985 metres - Barmer Hütte 2610 metres

To the east of the Oberseehütte snack station (2025 metres) through what remains of a Swiss pine forest, with plenty of twists and turns to Kühboden. Via a well-marked path and levelled ski route, continue to the mountain station of the Kühboden cable car (2425 metres). Through a somewhat steeper moraine, the path proceeds up to the corries beneath the Jägerscharte. It is from here that the most difficult section of the tour begins. Use the steel cable secure points there. We cross the steep boulder-strewn path; there may also still be snow fields in the summer. Having reached the Jägerscharte (2862 metres), there is a boulder strewn path up to the summit of the Almer Horn (2985 metres); which you can get right to in no more than 30 minutes of walking. From the Jägerscharte proceed via a moderately sloping firn snow field path (Almer Kees) until you get to its lower edge. A large pile of "stacked stones" now reveals the start of the new alpine association trail to Barmer Hütte.
