You have to give the Lienz folk this: they know how to make the most of the most enjoyable weeks of the winter. In the morning you can carve down first-class prepared slopes and in the afternoon you can chink glasses to the “south sides of life” on a deckchair. That is what we call alpine dolce vita.

 

Regional products and typical Osttirol dishes make skiing in spring perfect here. Those who unclip their skis or snowboard in front of one of the many sunny terraces should bring a decent appetite with them.

 

The sunshine town Lienz, together with its two other ski resorts, becomes a giant sunny terrace, where chilled and enjoyable skiing, coupled with excellent cuisine, a fabulous panorama and pure fun, is the name of the game.

Gourmet pavilions in the sunshine town with Osttirol’s top chefs

When a fabulous skiing day draws to a close, there is only one thing left to do. Head off into the centre of the sunshine town Lienz for a special kind of après-ski. All around four stylish Lienz pavilions, the main square becomes a sunny terrace, a chill zone. Constantly varying dishes from Osttirol’s award-winning chefs and selected drinks from regional producers unfold a magnetism that makes you want to spend every afternoon of the winter here.

In February and March, you can experience “Osttirol deluxe” again from Monday to Saturday. This redefines calling in to a chalet. Osttirol’s top gastronomy and selected specialities from local producers at the main square in Lienz provide excellent culinary delights.
